Dog fouling of the footpaths and verges in and around the village has been an
issue in recent months. As spring arrives and the number of dog walkers
multiply, the problem may increase further. This hazard is one we all recognise
both with our noses and from the mess on floors and carpets. There is also a
health hazard for all - but especially the young children in the community.
The Dog Warden Service take this matter seriously and will respond to
reports of dog fouling. If you know of a regular offender please advise the
Parish Clerk who will pass on the concerns to the Dog Warden. If the
offence happens regularly - at a particular time or place then that information
will be very useful in apprehending the offending Dog Owner. It is the
owner who is responsible for clearing up the mess.
